Following the success of our spring planting day and Summer BBQ we’re holding another Work Day, followed by a Bonfire Party on Saturday 1 November.
We’ll be working at the Horseshoe site from 11am – 5pm, come along, helps us clear some plots and join in an early celebration of Bonfire Night and Guy Fawkes with us!
We’ll be clearing some of the overgrown and vacant plots on The Horseshoe so they’re ready to rent to new plot holders and, sticking to our principles of sustainability and recycling, using the cleared material to build the bonfire.
Clearing these plots will benefit both new and existing TFAS members. More members will generate more income for the benefit of us all and will help keep costs down once we’re self-managed. Coming along to the workday is a great way to meet your neighbours and get a good workout while joining in some community fun!
Don’t forget to bring gloves, tools, and something to cook on the bonfire – potatoes, marshmallows and any other goodies are welcome.
We hope to see you there!
