Got A Problem?

Allotment life is a fantastic way to relax and unwind from everyday responsibilities and is a well known source of wellbeing for mental and physical health. Unfortunately things don’t always stay this way and sometimes we might need a bit of help or support with any number of problems.

Below are some links which may help for common issues which may pop up:

STRUGGLING TO CULTIVATE / PLOT TOO BIG
You can consider a Garden Membership or think about downsizing to a smaller plot with the Plot Swap option.

PROBLEMS WITH NEIGHBOURS OR THEFT
The Code of Conduct sets out how to behave. Any concerns please contact your plot rep or a member of the committee. There is a complaint procedure we follow to help those who need it.

GETTING RID OF PLOT RUBBISH
Depending on the waste there are many ways to dispose of it. We try to compost as much green waste as possible on site and we encourage plotholders to do the same on their plots. We arrange a skip once a year and the local waste centres in Merton and Wandsworth for residents can be used. Bonfires are allowed but within specified times to be considerate to our neighbours.

The Recycling Bins by the car Park are NOT to be used for plot waste. The Council monitors this area and pursues those dumping with heavy fines. If caught TFAS will issue an eviction notice to the plotholder.

STRUGGLING TO PAY RENT
We do ask for rent to be paid on time so we can continue with projects we all can benefit from. If however you are experiencing problems paying your invoice must get in touch with the committee immediately so we can discuss this with you. For small queries and seasonal advice, the plot Whatapp groups are a great source of help and camaraderie. Click here for details
